Charles Frazier Stanley (built-in September 25, 1932) is Pastor Emeritus[1] [2] of Get-go Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, after serving equally senior pastor for 51 years.[3] He is the founder and president of In Affect Ministries, which widely broadcasts his sermons through telly. He also served two one-yr terms as president of the Southern Baptist Convention, from 1984 to 1986.
Early life and educational activity [edit]
Stanley was born in Dry Fork, Virginia. His father, too named Charles, died ix months later. Stanley grew upwards in rural Dry Fork on the outskirts of Danville. At the historic period of 12, he became a born-again Christian, and at age fourteen he began his life's work in Christian ministry.
Stanley obtained a bachelor's degree from the Academy of Richmond and a Primary of Divinity caste from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He has also received a Master of Theology and a Physician of Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary in Florida (now located in Lithonia, Georgia).

Stanley joined the staff of First Baptist Church building of Atlanta in 1969 and became senior pastor in 1971.[4] [5]
